These are the characteristics of someone who risks it all for God. My pastor has been preaching about this recently and I have really enjoyed all of the comments and the insight my pastor has shared!

In this day and age people are busy and they don't care about what you have to say... Although I am not against the old-fashioned way of evangelizing by walking up to people and handing them a tract, but if you do that today you can get at least one of two responses. Number 1- They will look at you like you are crazy and say "thank you" as they usher the kids away from you or Number 2- they will completely blow you off and not pay attention to what you have to say. Again I am not against handing out tracks.

Here are the three steps that my pastor has talking about and I absolutely love the concept!!

PRAY-MEET PEOPLE-TELL THEM ABOUT CHRIST

It's called "redemptive relationships"! It's when you don't just step into someones life briefly tell them about Jesus and step out, it's about getting to know them and seeing how you can be a witness and blessing to them.

Step #1: Pray- pray that God will give you someone to lead to Christ and someone you can be an blessing to! If you are earnest about it God will let you have multiple opportunities!!

Step #2: Meet People- its as simple as that really :P You really just need to get out there and meet people and be a shining light in the world! Ask God to shove someone in you path!

Step #3: However and whenever you can casually turn the conversation to something spiritual or like "what do you do on Sundays? Would you like to come to my youth group (or appropriate age group)?". By becoming a part of someones life God gives you a foot hold to plant the seed of salvation.

When we follow these few steps we can successfully uphold God's call to be missionally minded.

Lets risk it all cause HE risked it all for us.
